3 ways to ensure higher success rate of implant surgery

CBCT scan (Cone beam CT scan)

CBCT scan is not only recommended but the best course of action when planning dental implants for a patient.
CBCT software enables tracing of canals (containing blood vessels and nerves) and allows precise evaluation of size and distance of anatomical structures. This will ensure dental implant is placed in the best possible position.

Megagen Implant

MegaGen has developed surface treatment based on SLA technique with nano layer of Ca2+ incorperated. Ion creates a CaTiO3 nanostructure on the surface, and activates osteoblasts in the live bone. The name of this unique specialized surface treatment is XPEED®. This ensures fast and strong osseointegration.

Sterile environment

To reduce the risk of microbial contamination, implant surgery are performed under both “sterile” and “clean” conditions to achieve the same high rate of clinical osseointegration.
In TWC Implant and Dental center, all surgical instruments use to place dental implant are sterilized clean

FAQs

Are dental implants for everyone?

In most cases, anyone healthy enough to undergo a routine dental extraction or oral surgery can be considered for a dental implant. Patients should have healthy gums and enough bone to hold the implant. Also, they must be committed to good oral hygiene and regular dental visits.

All of this drilling and screwing may sound painful, but you’ll be comforted to know that placing an implant is easier than taking a tooth out. Usually a local anesthetic is used, which means you are awake during the surgery.
You shouldn’t feel any pain during the surgery, especially if it is done with healthy tissue. Also, the bone where the implant is placed does not have many pain-sensing nerves. But if you’re very nervous about the surgery, you have sedative options to make you more comfortable during the operation.

Dental implants can last a lifetime. The crown that goes on top may need replacing after 10 to 15 years through wear and tear.

The use of dental implants in diabetic patients is controversial. It is generally accepted that the patients with controlled diabetes can have dental implants and have similar success rate as in healthy individuals.

The Implant Process It will take approximately one hour per implant. Your next appointment will be two to three months later. The dentist will decide whether your implant is ready to receive the crown that complete the process

Different Kinds of Implants

Single Tooth Implant

This is when we replace one missing tooth with an implant. It takes about 30 to 60 minutes for the surgery, and you can go home afterward.

Implant-Supported Bridge

If you’re missing several teeth in a row, we can use an implant-supported bridge. It’s like having two implants on the ends and a bridge in between. It’s a good option and costs less than getting individual implants for each missing tooth.

Implant-Supported Dentures

For people missing all their teeth and struggling with regular dentures, we have implant-supported dentures. We put 2 to 4 implants in your jawbone, then attach a full denture. It helps keep the denture secure.

Each option is designed to fit your needs and make sure your replacement teeth work well for you.

Why Dental Implants?

Learn how millions of people are replacing their teeth with dental implants.

Patients no longer have to deal with low-quality temporary solutions like dentures, bridges, or partials. Dental implants act and feel just like real teeth with an average lifespan of 20+ years.

Most traditional replacement solutions – like bridges or dentures – need to be replaced every 7 to 10 years resulting in hundreds of wasted dollars. Implants offer a long term solution for patients who want the better quality of life possible.

So, how do they work?

Every single dental implant consists of three parts – the implant, the abutment, & the crown. The implant is made of medical grade titanium. This part is surgically placed into the patient’s jaw bone and left to heal for 4-6 months afterwards.

This implant piece acts as the foundation for the rest of the tooth. Once the bone around the site has healed, the abutment and crown are placed on top of the implant. The end result is a beautiful, natural-looking new tooth!

Few people will ever be able to tell the difference between your implants and your real teeth.
